King Alaron woke up one morning, walked out onto the balcony of his royal palace, and looked down at his kingdom, the fortress city of Erifield. He watched as the people went about their lives, fully mindful of how he has been charged with leading and protecting them. He could not be more proud of how Erifield had prospered under his care, but painful memories lurked in the back of his mind. 2 years before, his beloved wife Cassandra, already mother of his 15 year old son Alarik, died tragically just after giving birth to his precious daughter, Arabeth.
