After four score and a few more years, a man's entitled to an opportunity to share his life story. David Abraham certainly has a story to tell. From a childhood spent in an inner city Italian neighborhood to life as a farm boy, Abraham grew to understand adversity at an early age. Life was hard but Abraham proved harder. He survived a crippling bout with polio, a near-fatal chest wound, and years of struggle before retiring as a respected athlete, educator, and author. He hasn't forgotten the people who helped him-or hurt him-but through his memoir his overwhelming message is the ability of any man or woman to achieve dreams through sacrifice and hard work.
