Why Naples, Florida?

We live in Southeast Naples.  We started Naples Used Bookstore in 2024 as part of our desire to have a local used bookstore in Naples, Florida. 

How Did You Get Started?  

We started this business by picking up book donations - some of them still had 'Half Price Store' or 'Thrift Book' labels on them - and selling them.  We have been selling books through other retail websites; however, most retail websites charge to list products with them.  Our desire is to keep book prices low, so we believe the best way to do this is to avoid using merchant retailers when possible.

Where Are You Located?

Since we have no physical storefront at this time, we have started with only online sales.  This has proven to be a very difficult task as there are many technical and physical challenges to starting a new online store with so many titles in inventory; however, we are committed to establishing this business.

Do You Plan on Having a Physical Storefront?

YES!!  The primary factors that go into this includes:

1) The market viability in Naples, Florida (currently we sell 95% of our inventory to other US states),

2) Profit which is able to handle the cost of renting commercial space (approximately $3k/month), utilities, and staff salaries, and

3) adequate sources of low-cost inventory.

How Do You Price Books?

We really do list them as low as possible.  Our desire is to keep our inventory turning over - listing new titles.  On average we list most books from $1-$3. Currently not having a physical storefront has enabled us to keep prices below most competitors.

How Do I Know I Am Getting a Decent Book?

If there are partially undesirable physical characteristics to a book, we list the condition of the book (seen in red when viewing a product's description).  If you buy the book and you are not satisfied, you may return the book within 10 days (see our refund policy).

How Long Before My Book Arrives?

This depends on the shipping method selected; however, most books are pulled and shipped within 1-3 business days.  The majority of our books are shipped Media Mail through the USPS as this is the lowest cost available to ship books.  USPS Media Mail shipping can take 5-10 days.

Do You Buy Books?

We do occasionally buy books as long as it meets our inventory needs.
